Jesse grew up in the Rankin-Reydon community. He later joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and after returning, he married Mozelle Sweetman on October 5, 1938 in Cheyenne, OK. They moved to California remaining there for a few years before moving back to Oklahoma where they made their home in the Reydon ares.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, James Taylor, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include his wife Mozelle of the home, 4 daughters and sons in law, Jessie and Troy Harmon of Reydon, OK, Shirley and Arnel Bryan, Pampa, TX, Willene and Don Burke, Mobeetie, TX and Patsy Ann and John H. Brown, Elk City, OK; 4 sisters, Willie Doyle, Colwell, Idah, Wilma Penny, stockton, CA, Myrtle Clay and Beatrice Michaelson, both of Yuba City, CA; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 1996 at the graveside service officiated by Alberta Helton. Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service
