A PIONEER PASSES

The funeral of Mrs. Amelia Andrews of Carson, Washington on Sunday afternoon, marked the passing of one of Skamania County's pioneers.

Miss Amelia Nickson was born October 31, 1853 in the state of Ohio, and died May 7, 1920, at Carson, Washington, aged 65 years, six months and six days. After coming to the state of Washington, she was united in marriage with Samuel Andrews and to this union were born seven children, Thomas Earl, Agnes, Mary, Linn, Bertha, Nellie and Samuel. Thomas Earl and Mr. Andrews preceded her to the Heavenly land, the former dying in infancy.

Mrs. Andrews lived in Carson, Washington about 27 years and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Carson, leading a consistent Christian life. She was a kind and loving mother, a sincere and earnest friend to all.

Interment was made in the Carson Cemetery, pastor of the M.E. Church officiating.
