KOUTS -- Heber N. Anderson, 75, RFD 2, Kouts, died at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at his farm home in Morgan Township after a year's illness.
Born June 9, 1881, in Morgan township, the son of James and Jessie (Stoddard) Anderson, he was a life-time resident of the township where he was a farmer. He married Elma Cannon on October 22, 1904.
He was a member of the Kouts Presbyterian Church, an elder in the church, and a member of the Porter County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Vance Goodpaster of RFD 2, Valparaiso; Miss Marjorie Anderson of Mishawaka; Mrs. David Rodger of Chicago; Mrs. Geraldine Cosgrove of Wilmette, Ill., and Mrs. Culver Vollintine of Bothell, Wash.; four sons, James at home; Nelson of RFD 2, Kouts; Byron of Valparaiso; and Richard of RFD 2, Valparaiso, who is a Morgan township trustee; a brother, Robert of Seattle; five sisters, Mrs. William Ryan of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Roxie Patterson of Wilmette; Miss Edith Anderson of Des Plaines; Mrs. Jeanette Kosanke of Argos, Ind.; Mrs. Bess Koontz of Kouts; and 12 grandchildren.
His parents, a daughter, and two brothers preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at Kosanke Brothers Funeral Home, Kouts. The Rev. Arthur Powell will officiate. Burial will be in Adams Cemetery, Morgan township.
Friends may call after 4 p.m., Friday at Kosanke Brothers Funeral Home.
