The spirit of Peggie B. Neves has moved to heaven. She arrived on this world in Roby, Texas, Fisher County, on December 23, 1912.
From 1933 until death, she lived in Greenville County, S.C. as a loving and spirited wife and mother. Her adult life was spent as a mill worker, mill canteen worker, and CNA with Greenville Hospital System.
She was 95, and the oldest living member of Locust Baptist Church; and the family greatly appreciates the love and attention bestowed on her by the church members.
Her parents, Fannie Neves Ballenger and Malcolm Ballenger were born, raised and married in Greenville County, S.C., Tigerville Township. They moved to Texas in 1902 and settled in Fisher County in 1906.
Peggie had one sister and six brothers who preceded her in death. Also preceding her, was her husband, Wm Pluratus Neves, and a daughter, Bonnie Carolyn Neves Fleming.
Surviving is one son, Dennis E. Neves, and his two children, Linda Ann Neves Hughes and husband, Tommy with three children and three grandchildren, and Rachel Neves; also Carolyn Flemings's two children, Joseph Solomon and wife Margaret with two children; and Scarlett Solomon; also nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to list.
The family wishes to give thanks to Falls Creek Living Center, Marietta, S.C. for the loving care and high quality professionalism given to Peggie during her stay there. Also a special thanks goes to Annie Ramirez for loving care above and beyond the call of duty.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 27, at Locust Baptist Church. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
