RITES NOT ARRANGED Body Will Be Returned To Danville For The Funeral Mrs. Jennie Harlan Anderson, 79 years old, succumbed at her home in Evansville, Ind., this morning from an attack of pneumonia suffered soon after she paid her last visit to her former home here, three weeks ago. The body will be returned to Danville sometime Sunday and funeral services, to be arranged later, will probably be held Monday.Mrs. Anderson, who was well known for her public charities and philanthropical interests in students, particularly appertaining to Centre College, was born and reared in Boyle County, daughter of one of the most prominent families in Kentucky. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Lawson Harlan, preceded her to the grave by many years.Mrs. Anderson was educated in the schools here and graduated from Caldwell College in 1875, later incorporated as Kentucky College for Women and a few years ago merged with Centre College.She married Charles Anderson, also a well known Boyle countian, who died some years ago [in 1915]. They had no children. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Thomas Stark, Evansville, Ind. and two brothers, John and Charles Harlan, both of Boyle county.Mrs. Anderson was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian church of Danville and was very active in religious activities. Although she removed from Boyle at the time of her husband's death Mrs. Anderson kept Danville as her legal residence although she maintained home in Evansville and Indianapolis, Indiana."
