Ollie Jean Brigance, 72, of Tulsa, went to be with her Lord Thursday, October 8, 2009, with her family at her side. Ollie Jean Brigance was born on January 16, 1937 to the family of Claude L. and Allie (Hurt) Brigance. She grew up in a small farming community NE of Morris, OK known as Evening Star, and graduated from Morris High School in 1954. She attended Draughon's Business School in Oklahoma City. She began her adult working life at MeGown Chevrolet Co., in Okmulgee and then on to Tulsa at Scott Rice Office Supply for eight years. She was then employed at Amerada Petroleum in 1964, where she retired after 30 years of service as a data systems supervisor. She was preceded in death by her parents. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Parkview Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Hulse officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Okmulgee Cemetery, Okmulgee, OK.
