Their union was blessed with six boys and one girl, two of whom are living: Joseph and Julia. Mrs. Rebecca Somers died in 1858 and Mr. Somers married Maria McKissick in 1860, who died in March, 1879. About two years after he married Rhoda Smith.
Soon after his marriage, Mr. Somers was taken sick, and after an illness of about a month, died on the 7th of February, 1881. His last wife is still living, and is now a resident of Ohio. Julia, sister of Joseph, married J. W. Surfus, in April, 1871, and resides in Whitley county.
