(special thanks to Rob #47382248 for the following info) William T. Barry was born 1829 in Hartsville, Texas. He married Mary J. Bozarth. Before the WBTS William was a drummer in the Mexican War; salesman for Merchant House in Boonville, Missouri; and traveling salesman for St. Louis Boot Store.

Civil War Career:
Captain of Company H 11th Missouri Cavalry Battalion
Major & Colonel of 10th Missouri Cavalry Regiment

After the WBTS William's occupation was traveling salesman for St. Louis Boot Company; livery businessman in Bentonville, Arkansas; and he ran a hotel in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

William committed suicide on 26 January 1884 in Pierce City, Missouri. He was only 55 years old.
