Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Verda Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis Rowe officiating. Burial will be in the Verda Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. The body will be at the family residence in Verda until time for services.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, James R. of Verda, Lawrence W. of the U.S. Air Force, Denver, Colo., John A. and Charles A. of Verda; three daughters, Mrs. L. B. Dubois of Colfax, Mrs. Bryan Hines of Montgomery, and Mrs. Don Oglesby of Verda; one brother, M. S. Johnson of Atlanta; four sisters, Mrs. Alvin Dyson of Cameron, La., Mrs. C. M. Baker of Minden, Mrs. John Watts of El Paso, Texas, and Mrs. A. B. Collier of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren.
