Tyler graduated from East Union High School and Southwestern Community College. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Agans on June 10, 1966 at Winterset, IA and five children blessed this union. They lived in Murray most of their married life.
Tyler enjoyed the outdoors - fishing, camping, hunting (especially coon hunting) mowing the lawn. He did carpentry and was a jack of all trades. He was a truck driver and was employed by Afton Co-Op.
Tyler was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister; grandparents, Cleo and Earl Jackson, Mabel and Everett Brobst; and brother-in-law, Stan Rassmussan.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Marilyn Brobst of Murray; daughters, Marcy Lamastres (fiance', Clair Lane) of Creston, Melody Arevalo (Santiago) of Lenox, Leah Brobst (Andy Smith) of Osceola; sons, Sean Brobst (Michelle) of Osceola, Adam Brobst of Murray; grandchildren, Michael Brobst, Deborah Aldrich (Chad), Christian Lamastres, Tana Arevalo, Adriana Arevalo, Juan Carlos Arevalo; great grandchildren, Cole Aldrich and Kelsey Aldrich; sisters, Joyce Rassmussan of Lincoln, NE, Barbara Thompson (Ron) of Cedar Rapids, Nancy Griffith (Robert) of Lorimor; brothers, David Brobst (Carol) of Lorimor, Dennis Brobst (Vickie) of Des Moines, Don Brobst (Nanette) of Tucson, AZ; family friend, Carolyn Crab of Murray; other relatives and many friends.
