Mrs J. Hamilton of 103 Stout street, has received the sad news that her brother, Private Montrose A. Baker, has died of wounds in the Walton-on-Thames Hospital. Private Baker, who left Gisborne with the Seventh Reinforcements, was wounded on September 17th. He was a great fabourite with many friends, who will deeply regret his death. He was a plumber by trade and prior to enlisting was in the employ of Mr Rait ??
