Obituary of Mrs. Anne Elizabeth Stubblefield

Pocahontas- Anne Elizabeth Stubblefield, 95, of Pocahontas, died October 8,2009 at Randolph Home in Pocahontas.

Born February 1, 1914, near Ravenden in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Richard Ray and Noma Spotts Pickett. She was a retired elementary teacher and school librarian and was a member of Shannon Baptist Church of Pocahontas.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stubblefield was preceded in death by her husband Earl and infant son William Ray Stubblefield: sister, Gladys Lorene Pickett: and three brothers, William Spotts Pickett, John Glenn Pickett, and Charles Ray Pickett: and Niece, Mary Virginia Pickett.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Geneva Bottoms of Wichita,Kansas: a brother Joseph E. Pickett and wife Verlene of Pocahontas, a sister-in-law, Patsy Pickett of Pocahontas, nephews; Richard Pickett of Pocahontas, Gary Pickett and wife Norma of Pocahontas, Brian Pickett and wife Dion of Pocahontas; nieces, Mary Jo Gwaltney and husband Larry of Kansas, Mona Stecklein and husband Dan of Kansas, Sheri Midkiff and husband David of Portia, Karen Pickett and husband Steve of Little Rock, Sharon Wyett Shepherd, Susan Wyett Lewis and Sandra Wyett of Florida.

She is also survived by great-nephews, Michael Walker and wife Leigh Ann, Ryan Gwaltney, Joseph Midkiff and wife Sarah, Matthew Stecklein, Josh Pickett, and Colton Pickett: and great-nieces, Katie Stecklein, Virginia Pickett, and Amy Pickett.

Funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 P.M. with Jerry Clements officiating.. Visitation will be from noon Saturday until time for the Service. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Pickett, Gary Pickett, Richard Pickett, Brian Pickett, Steve Case and David Midkiff. Honorary pallbearers will be great-nephews and great-nieces.
