Mrs. S.M. Wetmore Claimed by Death
Mrs. Leota Lorena Wetmore, wife of Starr M. Wetmore and a native of Arkansas City died at 5:15 Monday morning at her home, 215 East Central avenue. She had been in ill health for several years and death was not unexpected. She was 60 years old.
Mrs. Wetmore was a life-long member of the First Baptist church and was widely known here. Her mother Mrs. Emma Pattison, who lives at the Wetmore home, was the first person baptized in the local Baptist church. Mrs. Wetmore was prominent in church and social Circles for many years.
Surviving relatives are her husband, her mother and four children; Mrs. Donald Young, Winfield; Mrs. Mary Norton, Beatrice, Neb.; Mark Wetmore, Needles, Cal. and Mack Wetmore, Houston, Tex., five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday in the First Baptist church. The Rev. John A. Craig will officiate. Oldroyd Funeral Directors is in charge. The family requests no flowers be sent.
