Wesley Reginald 'Reggie" Stinson, 71, died Monday October 5, 2009 at an Abilene Hospital. Graveside Services will be 10:00a.m.Thursday October 8, 2009 in Belvieu Cemetery under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born August 19, 1938 in Abilene, TX, Reggie was the son of the late Thomas Wesley and Rudine (Branch) Stinson. Reggie graduated from Sul Ross University where he received a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Husbandry. He moved to Fisher County from Pampa, TX in 1951 where he remained and ranched in Kent, Stonewall and Fisher counties. Reggie married Joy Lynn Hicks on April 18, 1964 in Rotan. Reggie loved to work and watch his cattle. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Joy Stinson, one son and daughter-in-law, Wesley Reginald Stinson, Jr. and his wife Jenny of Keller, TX; one daughter Lucy Lynn Stinson-Jones of Rotan; one granddaughter Sophie Yvonne Jones and numerous cousins.
