Judy Irene Jones, 61, of Choctaw, passed away on December 18, 2001. She was born June 28, 1940 in Wichita, KS to Edith Irene Simmons & Everett Grant. Judy married Dick Jones on Oct. 18, 1957 in Wichita. Judy enjoyed arts & crafts, antiques, gardening and her dogs. Judy & Dick owned the Garden Center for 16 years and she loved her work and customers. She was a devoted wife & mother who loved her family dearly. The family would like to thank Dr. Geister, the employees of Cancer Care Associates, Dr. Woodward and Preferred Hospice. She fought 3 courageous years against lung cancer. Judy is survived by her husband of the home; children, Richard Jones of Choctaw & Bonnie Pendleton of Midwest City; 3 grandchildren, Dustin Pendleton & wife, Erika, Bryce Pendleton, & Jordan Pendleton. Also, 1 sister, Betty Hubbard & husband Lloyd of Dearborn, MO & good friend, Elaine Puckett. She is preceded in death by her birth mother, Edith Simmons and parents, Everett Grant and Viola Grant. Services will be held Friday, Dec. 21 at 1:00 PM at the Cornerstone Family Church, Midwest City with Reverend Wyatt Hulton officiating. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK.
