Mr. Houston Graves, whose critical illness was mentioned in the Herald last week passed away Thursday afternoon aged 74 years, at his home near Bethel church. He was in town on court day, but not feeling well went home early and that afternoon was stricken with paralysis and later suffered a second stoke which caused his death. He was a splendid and highly respected gentleman, whose passing is deeply regretted. The funeral took place Friday at Bethel, Rev. Reed officiating. He leaves a grandson, Mr. John Graves, who with his mother made his home with the deceased.
