Services for Mrs. Grace Woods, 85, of Pocahontas will be this morning at 11 in the McNabb Funeral Home chapel in Pocahontas with Rev Curtis Vandergriff officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas.

Mrs. Woods died Saturday morning at Three Rivers Nursing Home in Marked Tree. She was a lifetime resident of Randolph County and the widow of Martin Woods, who died in 1961.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Douglas of Marked Tree and Mrs. Wilma Beck of Memphis; one brother, Arvil Jackson of Pocahontas; three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Counts and Miss Ivern Jackson, both of Pocahontas and Mrs. Bessie Story of Sikeston, Mo; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

(end)

GRACE JACKSON, born 12 Aug 1899 in Randolph County, Arkansas, was the 1st of 10 children born to WILLIAM LANGFORD and DELIA ANN DITTY SEGRAVES JACKSON.

Grace was first married to WILLIAM DAVID ROACH 23 Feb 1919 in Randolph County, Arkansas. They divorced and each remarried.

Grace's second marriage was to MARLIN WOODS 20 Dec 1941 in Randolph County, Arkansas.

Children of GRACE JACKSON and WILLIAM ROACH are:
• WANDA LOUISE ROACH 19 Mar 1920-03 Aug 2003
• WILMA LEE ROACH 27 Aug 1921-10 Feb 2006

Marlin Woods died 12 Nov 1991 in Walnut Ridge, Lawrence County, Arkansas and was laid to rest in Antioch Cemetery, Hamil, Randolph County, Arkansas. A double stone was erected at Antioch Cemetery to include Grace when she went to her rest, but, for whatever reason, Grace is resting in Masonic Cemetery, Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas. This, of course, leaves the plot at Antioch Cemetery empty.
