Maria-Lucia was the daughter of Prince Fernando Pius of Two Sicilies and his wife Princess Marie Ludwige of Bavaria.
On 29 October 1938, she married Eugenio Alfonso, 5th Duke of Genoa. They were the parents of one daughter, Maria-Isabella.
