Gary Dean Graham, 63, of Memphis, MO, died October 7, 2007, at Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.

He was born on September 28, 1944 at Kirksville, MO to Ernie E. and Ethel Virginia Vail Graham.

He lived in Memphis, MO until age 5 and then moved to Stockport, IA. He attended school in Iowa City, IA.

He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked in construction, building grain bins, until he was disabled in 1973. He was a 1986 graduate of Indian Hills Community College. He attended the First Christian Church in Memphis and assisted with the Food Pantry. Gary enjoyed fishing and camping.

He married Melody Cagle and to this union four children were born. They later divorced. He then married Deborah Copeland Wesley on November 25, 1985 in Fairfield, IA, and to that union two children were born.

Gary is survived by five daughters, Teresa Jones and her husband, Ricky, Ethel Dickerson, Shanna Anderson and her husband, Tony, all of Pawhuska, OK, Tina Graham of Memphis, MO, Angela Graham of Gorin, MO, and a son, Joe Moore of Pawhuska, OK; nine grandchildren, Nathan Jones, Miranda Jones, Jason Jones, Samantha Dickerson, Clarence Dickerson, Jr., Rebecca Dickerson, Savanna Dickerson, Shane Stanton and Kenny Stanton; a brother, Kenny Graham of Tennessee; a sister, Shirley Graham of Texas; a half-brother, John Abernathy of Indiana and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters at an early age.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, MO with Brother Jack Sumption officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Family visitation will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to assist the family.
