Curtis Timothy "Tim" Vinson 69, of Palatka, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Kindred Hospital North Florida. Curtis was born on Friday, June 7, 1940 in Meigs, Georgia to the late Curtis and Nellie Mittie (Croft) Vinson. Mr. Vinson enjoyed fishing, reading and cooking. He is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth G. Vinson and brothers: Hershel "Hoot" Vinson and Winston Vinson. Tim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Myrtle Louise Woodruff Vinson of Palatka ( daughter of Raymond Woodruff & Idealia Johns Woodruff ) , Florida; sons: Chris Vinson and wife Leslie (Middleton) of Pomona Park, Florida, Wayne Vinson and wife Judy of Palatka, Florida and Scott T. Vinson of Lake City, Florida; sister, Belind Diane Crews and husband Randy of Palatka, Florida; grandchildren: Nikki, Travis, Ken, Nick, Jordan, Billy and Christina; great grandchildren: Austin, Shelby, Ainsley, Ethan, Cameron, Samantha and Tristan; many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly; A celebration of Tim's life will be 1 PM, Friday, October 9, 2009 with Rev. Alfred Johns, officiating, at Watts Funeral Home Chapel in San Mateo, Florida. Interment will be at Etoniah Cemetery in Bardin, Florida. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2009.
