Obituary from The Akron Beacon Journal, December 30, 1963:
BEERS, Thomas B., Services for Thomas B. Beers, 60, of 600 Eastland Avenue, will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Eckard-Baldwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Harry D. Rose officiating. Mr. Beers died Saturday in Akron City Hospital after a long illness. Born in Fallen Timber, Pa., he was a long time resident of Akron. He was with Goodyear for 37 years, was a member of the firm's 25-year Club and the Eagles Lodge 555. He leaves his wife, Emma E.; sons, Calvin of Mogador, Carlson, Leroy and Fred, all of Akron; daughters, Mrs. Ruth Belvin and Mrs. Freda Massaro, both of Akron, 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He also leaves brothers, A.J., Clarence and Bruce, all of Akron, and Ralph of South Dakato, and sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Perrine and Mrs, Bernedice Baughman, both of South Dakato, Theda Green, and Velda Beers of Richmond, California. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park.
