Lois celebrated her 95 birthday just last month with family.
Lois Perdue 95 of Karnack, TX passed away October 4, 2009 at Marshall Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, LA officiated by Tom Ratcliff. Burial will follow at Munnerlyn Chapel in Ida, LA. The family will receive friends for a visitation Wednesday the 7th from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Perdue was born September 6, 1914 in Haughton, LA and lived most of her life in Ida, LA. She was a resident of Karnack for the past 3 years. She was a member of the Bethsaida Baptist Church in Ida where she taught Sunday school for many years. She loved quilting and crocheting, she loved gardening and growing flowers. She was known for being a great cook and a hard worker.
Mrs. Perdue was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Curtis Arnold and John Cisro Perdue, her brothers and sisters, Martelie Waters, Lorine Bruner, C.H. Horton, Franklin D. Horton and 5 children that passed as infants.
She is survived by her children; Curtis L. Arnold and wife Judy of Marshall, TX and Judy K. Decker and husband Kenneth of Westwood, KS, her brothers and sisters; Helen Waters of Arkadelphia, AR, Maggie Bobbitt, Vivian, LA, Sam Horton of Keithville, LA, John Lewis Horton of Karnack, TX, Frances Hayden of Shreveport, LA, 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Arnold Jr., Cecil Arnold, John Arnold, Matt Yates, Mike Arnold, Jeff Shaw, Todd Arnold, and Butch Bruner.
