Mrs. Mary A. Alden died at her home, near Penntown, January 21, 1908, of catarrh of the stomach. Funeral took place at the Baptist church at Penntown Thursday, Jan. 23, Rev. Bower officiating. Interment at Alden cemetery.
Mrs. Mary Alden (nee Furguson) was born at Beaver, Beaver county, Penn., 1838. She came to Indiana in 1864 and was united in marriage to Warren J. Alden July 4, 1867. To this union was born three children, one son and two daughters.
Her husband died in 1901.
Mrs. Alden united with the Pipe Creek Baptist church in 1887 and remained a faithful member until the time of her death. She leaves one sister and many relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Mrs. Alden was a kind and loving mother and a kind neighbor and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
