Rev. Fr. Terrance Dunn 62,assistant pastor of St Patrick parish Thompsonville Ct passed away in the rectory Saturday 2/28/1914 at 6:25 pm a week after suffering Apoplectic Shock. Born in Chambly PQ Canada to John and Elizabeth Dunn. He entered St Mary Collage 1871-1875 after graduation he entered The grand Seminary in Montreal and was ordained December 17,1881 Father Dunn came to St Patrick in 1902 and was loved by all, his wake was attended by 3000 people and the funeral service was attended by 1600.All Thompsonville businesses were closed during the duration of the funeral, there was 19 honorary pall bearers and 31 ushers. Interment was at Old St Patrick Cemetery Thompsonville Ct
Fr Dunn memorial is the largest in the town of Enfield it stands 15 feet 4 inches high and is blue granite and cost 1800 and was paid for by the parishioners. At that time it was the biggest funeral in town and to this day it probably still is...
