ROACH, Ocie L. Russell Bayless, 81, of Pinopolis, died Tuesday at Hospice of Charleston Center in Mt. Pleasant. Her memorial service will be at 2pm Saturday afternoon at Calvary Baptist Church, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
Mrs. Roach was born May 4, 1927, at Gardenia, W. Virginia, a daughter of Joseph Russell and Myrtle Carpenter Russell. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was formerly married to Ray H. Bayless, Sr., and was the widow of Howard B. Roach.
Surviving are a daughter, Judith Ann Williams and her husband, Larry, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a son, Ray Harley Bayless, Jr., and his wife, Betty Jo, of Moncks Corner; step-daughters, Michelle Roach of Pinopolis; Nancy Atkinson and her husband, John, of Moncks Corner; Kathlene Simmons and her husband, Danny, of Moncks Corner; Mary Freeman and her husband, Bruce, of Lafayette, LA.; step-son, Howard Mike Roach, Jr. and his wife, Janie, of Barnwell; brothers, Robert Russell of W. VA.; William Russell and John Russell of Ohio; Daniel Russell and Kenny Russell of W. VA.; sisters, Alene Roach and Nancy Thompson of W. VA.; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
