Bobby Lee Wall, 73, of Sandy Ridge, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. Born Jan. 23, 1932, in Liberty, Mr. Wall was the son of the late Rob and Lena Kivett Wall. Educated in Liberty schools, he was employed with the Dupont Corporation in Martinsville, Va., for more than 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1949 to 1952. A member of Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Sandy Ridge American Legion Post 140. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Thornton Wall; son Danny Wall of Sandy Ridge; brother Dwight Wall of Greensboro; and half-brother Aldean Priddy of Liberty. Service : A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the U.S. National Cemetery, Statesville Boulevard location in Salisbury, with the chaplain of the VA Medical Center officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Rowan County Military Honor Guard. Visitation : The family will see friends at Summersett Funeral Home from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Wednesday. Summersett Funeral Home is assisting the family.
