Bernice Pauline Workman Sparks Elliott, 81, of Dixie went home with Jesus Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

She was born November 12, 1927, and was a daughter of the late John Jacob and Mary Ellen Hughes Brady. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene Workman and Denver Sparks; son, Bradford Kent Workman (1949-2005) .

She was a loving housewife and mother and a member of Ida Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, William B. Elliott of Dixie; Sons and daughers-in-law, Randall (Ruth Ann) of Dixie, Ernest (Trudy) Workman of Lizemores, Calvin (Kim) of Bentree, Tommy and Mya (Workman) of Sandyville, Neal (Charlotte) Workman of Monroe, NC, and David (Robin) Workman of Monroe; and daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia (Danny) Sears of Dixie, Daisy (Dave) Shrewsbury of Belva, and Charlotte Facemire of Bentree. She is also survived by five stepchildren; 26 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 17 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, at Ida Baptist Church with Minister Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
