Guy Lee Owens of Buna, a retired carpenter and millwright died unexpected at 4:15 yesterday while driving his car near his home. It is believed his death was caused by a heart attack. A native of Tyler County, he was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs Annie Minyard Owens of Buna; four daughters, Mrs J. W. Withers and Mrs J. W. Martin of Buna, Mrs Cliffton Johnson of Jasper and Mrs Marshall Gray of Orange; six sons, Thomas H. of Bessmay, Forrest L. of Pasadena, Rev J. P. of Jena, LA, Ted of Jasper, Guy Lee Jr. of Fort Worth and James A. of Orange.
Two brothers, Henry Owens of Ada, Ok and Albert Owens of Colmesnel; three sisters, Mrs Cora Minyard of Colmesnel, Mrs Eddie Farrow of Nacogdoches and Mrs Ella Primrose of Jasper and 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are in complete, but burial will be at Antioch Cemetery at Buna. Broussard's of Beaumont is in charge. The body will be taken to the home Tuesday morning and remain there until time of the services.

On death cert it lists his father as John Owens.
Census verifies different parents.
