Marvin Edward McBride, 50, Centralia, died early Wednesday morning at the University Medical Center at Columbia.

He was the son of Roscoe Vernon McBride and Effie Mildred Ball McBride and was born July 14, 1923, in Monroe County. He was married to Imogene Davis.

Mr. McBride was a member of the First Christian Church at Centralia where he was a deacon. He was an employee of the A.B. Chance Co. at Centralia for 29 years; and he was a member of the AFL-CIO.

Survivors include his wife, Imogene, of the home; a brother, Raymond Lee McBride of Chico, Calif.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev Donald Mattson at the Meador and Son Chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday, with burial at the Centralia Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. today and will continue until time of service.
