Evelyn L. ZINK, 80, of 212 Broadway St., Argos, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend. She was born Sept. 18, 1908 in Argos to Herbert and Eloyse YEARICK BOWELL. She had lived all her life in the Argos community. On Oct. 12, 1919 in South Bend, she married Rome ZINK, who died in November 1977. She retired after 35 years as a Marshall County school teacher. She was a member of the Argos United Methodist Church, the Electa Circle of the church, a 50-year member and past matron of the Plymouth Eastern Star, and a member of the Marshall County Retired Teachers Association. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Anna DUSEK and Martha ZINK, both of Orlando, Fla.; a son, Harry [ZINK], of Derry, N.H.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary RITTER, Argos, and Mrs. Harold (Nancy) HENDERSON, Palm Desert, Calif., and a brother, Herbert "Bud" BOWELL, Argos. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with the Revs. Jack RHOADES and Richard LEWKE officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday. The Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Argos United Methodist Church or the Argos Emergency Medica Service.
