JAMES L. MUDD DIES. James L. Mudd, 86, mail carrier at Springfield, Ky., for 18 years, died at 4:05 p.m., yesterday at his home, 1235 Logan. He retired 19 years ago and had lived here since 1930. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Allie A. Mudd; four sons, Leroy Mudd, James A. Mudd, James L. Mudd, Jr., and William L. Mudd; six daughters, Mrs. Anna Graves, Mrs. Joe Bean, Mrs. R.J. Roberts, Mrs. Walter Hack, Mrs. Bernard Meyer, and Mrs. John Donelly, Springfield, Ky.; 30 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.

Mudd; devoted father of Mrs. Anna Graves, Mrs. John Donelly of Springfield, Ky.; Mrs. Joe Bean, Mrs. R.J. Roberts, Mrs. Walter Hack, Mrs. Bernard Meyer, Mr. William Leroy, James A., James L. Jr., and William Lee Mudd; also survived by a brother, Mr. William Mudd of Evansville, Ind.; a niece, Mrs. Lillie Gumm; 30 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Services for Mr. Mudd will be held in his residence.
