Mrs. Lockhart was preceded in death by her husband, James Lockhart Sr.; her brothers, Bartley, Ed, Charlie, Amos, Homer, Ernest, Robert and Gilbert Layne; sister, Letha Baker, Abie Johnson, Belle Coffee; a son, James Lockhart Jr.; and a granddaughter, Debbie Dalton.
Survivors include her sons, Joel Lockhart, Chattanooga, and Larry Lockhart, Whitwell, Tenn.; daughters, Opal Jackson, Alma King, and Paulette Boggs, all of Jasper, Tenn., and Shirley Meeks, Lafayette, Tenn.; brothers, Alfred Layne, Tracy City and Billy Layne, Monteagle, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. CDT today in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ron Gilbert officiating.
Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
