Arthur A. Bazinet US Army, Ret.
Arthur Bazinet, 90, Kansas City, North passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the North Kansas City Hospital. He was born December 5, 1918 in Fall River, MA to Alfred and Luciana Rivard Bazinet. He attended schools in Fall River.
Arthur was retired from the United States Army. He enlisted during World War II and served several tours of duty over the next 25 years. He retired from the Kansas City Health Department as a field supervisor in 1989 where he was employed for over 25 years. He enjoyed reading, cooking, growing tomatoes and spending time with his family. Arthur was very devoted to his family and his Catholic faith.
He married Dolores I. Gagnon on November 3, 1951 at the Notre Dame DeLourdes Catholic Church in Fall River. Mrs. Bazinet survives of the home. Additional survivors include a son, Mark A. Bazinet and wife Tracy of Kansas City, North; two grandchildren, Nathan Bazinet, Kansas City, North and Kyle Bazinet, Riverside, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6th at St. Therese Catholic Church with Rev. Duc Nguyen as celebrant. A committal service will be held 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Leavenworth National Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of the United States Army Funeral Honors Team.
