OBITUARY - SMITHFIELD, UTAH: Our Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Wallace W. Spring, 82, passed away on Feb. 28, 2005 at his home.

He was born on Sept. 11, 1922 in Providence Utah to Samuel and Ruth Spring. He married Mary Henderson on Sept. 11, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He graduated from North Cache High School in 1941. He worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard during WWII. He worked for 43 years at Cache Valley Dairy.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a High Priest and served as an officiator in the Logan Temple.

He has been a member of the Smithfield Lions Club for many years. He enjoyed working at the Lions concession stand at the Smithfield Blue Sox's ball diamond.

One of his favorite things was working in his garden and yard. He loved sitting outside and enjoyed the great outdoors.

He is survived by his sweetheart of 63 years Mary, two sons and three daughters. Wallace H. Spring (Gwen), Logan Ut., Mary Ellen Nelson (Theron), Rexburg, ID., Sharon Powell (Gary), Silverdale, WA., Karen Todd (Scott), Mesa, AZ, Craig H. Spring (Sue), St George, UT.

He has 14 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Smithfield 11th Ward, 100 East 200 North with Bishop Kevin Moser conducting. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, Thursday evening from 6-8 pm and at the church on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
