CONWAY—E. Leroy Alford, 54, who formerly operated a chicken farm west of Conway, died in his home in Groves [Jefferson Co.], Tex., October 30.
Mr. Alford was the father of Mrs. W.K. Stewart, who lives west of Conway. He was a Baptist. Mr. Alford was engaged in the grocery business at Groves.
Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Callie Alford; his mother, Mrs. T.E. Alford, Beaumont, Tex.; two other daughters, Mrs. C.G. Holton, Jasper, Tex., and Mrs. James C. Guidry, Groves; a son, Ernest Alford, Groves; four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were conducted in Groves Friday. Burial was in Oak Bluff Cemetery, Port Neches, Tex.
