Death's Doings. - We this week chronicle the death of the oldest practicing physician in the lower end of the county - Dr. Joseph Crain. He had been a practitioner of medicine for the past fifty years, and at his late residence in Hoguestown (sic), on Tuesday, the 18th inst. in the 73d year of his age. Dr. Crain was the first President of the Cumberland County Medical Association. His Father, Richard Crain, lived at White Hill, this county, and at different times held positions of trust, both in State and county. The funeral took place on Friday last, the remains being interred in Silver Spring cemetery (sic), Rev. Reigart, of the Presbyterian church, officiating. The funeral was very largely attended. The pall bearers were all practitioners of medicine; they were Drs. Ziegler, Dale, Kieffer and Sibbetts, of Carlisle, and Drs. Brandt and Musser, of Mechanicsburg.
