CADIZ, Ky.--Services for Ruby Hammond, 83, of Cadiz, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home. The Rev. Darren Gaddis and Jim Ricks will officiate. Burial will be in East End Cemetery.
Mrs. Hammond died at 7:23 a.m. Wednesday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
She retired from the International Shoe Co. in Hopkinsville, and was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, W.J. Hammond of Louisville; her daughter, Shirley Hammond Cavanah of Hopkinsville; one brother, Thomas "Buddy" Armstrong of Hopkinsville; two sisters, Quinnie Tucker and Helen Joiner, both of Hopkinsville; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Hammond; one brother and two sisters. Her parents were Arthur Nay Armstrong and Flossie Taylor Armstrong.
