YOUNG WIFE AND MOTHER IS CALLED
Funeral Services For Mrs. Roy O'Hern Held at M. E. Church

The death Monday morning of Mrs. Roy O'Hern, aged 31 of Straight River township, came as a distinct shock to the entire community as well as to the immediate family and relatives. Five weeks previously Mrs. O'Hearn had suffered a ruptured appendix at which time she was taken to the Park Rapids Hospital where she had since been a patient. The relatives at that time were summoned but her condition took a turn for the better. She had improved and continued to do so until complications developed. The later part of the week another turn for the worse came and she passed away at 6 o'clock Monday morning surrounded by her loved ones.

Through her illness she never lost courage or gave up the fight and made great plans as to what she would do on her return to her little home and family, hoping above all to be with them on her birthday November 19. During her last days her thoughts were not of herself but at times for her loved ones and their welfare. She remained conscious almost to the last remarking that she was alright and for others to get some sleep and rest.

Brief services were held at 1:30 o'clock at the Frazey Funeral Home and at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church, which was filled with friends and neighbors. The wealth of floral offerings also attested to the esteem in which Mrs. O'Hearn was held. Rev. I. L. Seager officiated and spoke highly of the deceased of having baptized her during her illness, and of her peaceful passing to the higher life.
Pallbearers, who were neighbors were: Herbert Hoefs, Everett Paulson, Walter Schackman, Robert Bonham, Ralph Rowland and William Rowland. Burial was made at Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Verle Frazey.

Ruby Belle, daughter of James and Clara Morphew, was born November 19, 1904 at Jeffers, Minn. where she spent her early life. The year 1919 she came with her parents to Hubbard county settling in Straight River township. August 2, 1924 she was united in marriage to Roy G. O'Hearn at Detroit Lakes. Three children were born to the union. The family continued to live in Straight River . Her whole life had been devoted to her home and family which were ever the center of her attention. Though not in the best of health for some years she was always cheerful and thoughtful of the happiness of others. She will always be held in tender memory of those who came with-in the circle of her acquaintance.

Surviving are the heart broken husband, daughter Beverly E. aged ten and son Robert C. aged six. A daughter Ruth died in infancy. She also leaves her aged father J. H. Morphew, two sisters Mrs. E. R. Tillisch of Westbrook (Nora) and Mrs. John Jackson (Nellie) of this city, five brothers Walter Morphew of Muskegan, Mich., Wm. Morphew of Dows, Iowa, Albert Morphew of of Westbrook and Frank and Lynn Morphew of of St. Paul. Relatives from out of town attending the services were Dr. and Mrs. E. R. Tillish, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Morphew and Rex Waldo of Westbrook; Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Morphew and Lynn Morphew of St. Paul, Mrs. Gladys Utterberg and Mrs. Arthur R. Theis of Minneapolis and Mrs. Raymond Jackson of Isle.
