Delphia Irlee Cox Grayham Young, 77, of Springfield, Mo., died Thursday at Mount Vernon Park Care Center. Mrs. Young was a native of Baxter County, born at Fall Creek May 19, 1905. She lived at Mountain Home and Norfork 44 years and had lived at Springfield 33 years. She was a charter member of the West Atlantic Street Baptist Church and a member of the Grace Bible Baptist Church. Mrs. Young was a 12-year member of the Brown Avenue Baptist Church at Springfield. Survivors include her adopted son, John H. Copeland of Springfield; two daughters, Velma A. Riemer of Springfield and Vedora Cruse of Strafford, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Lois Lumbert of Traverse City, Mich.; one sister, Retta Hicks of Viola; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Fielden H. Cox and Julie Catherine Cantrell Cox: one son, Virgil F. Grayham; five brothers; and two sisters. Services were Monday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Watts officiating. Burial was in East Oakland Cemetery with Leonard Cox. Vernon Cox. Dale Cox. Walton Cox. Leon Oels and Gene Adams serving as pallbearers.
