Loretta M. Arnott, 93, of Monticello died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2004, at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.

She was born at Rock Valley, Iowa on May 8, 1910, to John and Mary (Doherty) Walpole. S

She graduated from Rock Valley High School, Iowa, in 1928.

She attended Rosary College in Chicago.

She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1933 majoring in Occupational Therapy.

She moved to Indianapolis to complete her internship at City Hospital.

She married Larry Arnott in Indianapolis, IN, on Oct. 2, 1937.

She lived in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI, with her husband, Larry, in 1940.

She moved to Monticello in 1945, coming from Ohio.

She worked as an OCCT in Monticello at the CDC.

She was a volunteer at White County Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.

She was active in her church.

Other survivors include son, John (Jan) Arnott of Monticello; daughter, Judy (Bob) Stusrud of Indianapolis; sister, Mary Ellen Hambrecht of Gailsburg, Ill.; grandsons, Jeff (Page) Arnott and J.R. Arnott; granddaughters, Wendy and Katie Stusrud and two great-grandchildren.

Brother, Horace Walpole and sisters, Florence Ruppert and Mary Ellen Hambrecht are deceased.
