David Houston "Nasty" Barnes, age 55, of 764 Cable Creek Rd., Asheboro died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at his home. Mr.Barnes was born July 23, 1952 in Asheboro, NC the son of Wayman and Lucille Brown Barnes. He was a logger, auto body technician and farmer.
He is survived by his wife: Rhonda Small Barnes; daughter: Amy Barnes of Austin, TX ; son: Jacob Barnes of Asheboro, NC ; step son: Chris Wilson of Sophia, NC.; sisters: Janet B. Hunt and Mary B. Yow both of Asheboro, NC and one brother: Edsel Barnes of Coleridge, NC; 6 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 30, 2007 from 7 to 9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave. in Asheboro. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Barnes Family Cemetery, 764 Cable Creek Rd. in Asheboro with Rev. David Hunt and Robert Welch officiating.
