Icy Bailey, 98, of Freeport, South Buffalo Township, died at 2 a.m. Monday in the Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning, following a two-year illness. She was born Jan. 11, 1888, in Valley Township, Armstrong County, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Ann (Hill) Gillis. She was of the protestant faith. Survivors include one son, Joseph G. Bailey of Kittanning; two daughters, Mrs. Wilda Lasher of Kittanning and Mrs. Mary Hazlett of South Buffalo Township; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry G. Bailey, who died in 1950; and one daughter, Mildred Brown in 1986. BAILEY – Friends of Icy Bailey, 98, of Freeport, South Buffalo Township, who died Monday, May 26, 1986, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Richard L. Redmond Funeral Home, corner of Ninth and High Streets, Freeport, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Diager, pastor of the Bible Brethren Church of Kittanning, officiating. Burial will follow in the Kittanning Cemetery. Arrangements are by Redmond.
