Ralph "Pep" Fredrick Werner, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care September 30, 2009, in New Oxford.

Born May 28, 1918, in Brodbecks, to Aaron and Anna (Bjerning) Werner, he was the last survivor of 15 children.

Mr. Werner retired in 1983 after 29 ½ years working for P.H. Glatfelter Company. He also worked for 10 years on the Western Maryland Railroad.

He was a long time member of St. Paul's Dubs United Church of Christ. He served on the church council and volunteered preparing and serving meals for the PAL Lunch Program for 20 years.

Ralph was an avid hunter and member for many years of the York County Dutchman Hunting Club in Waterville.

He is survived by his wife, Meriam E. Werner, whom he married March 23, 1946. Together they enjoyed 63 years of marriage. He is also survived by two sons, Thomas M. Werner and wife, Manon A. of Kansas City, MO, and Timothy K. Werner and wife, Wanda K. of York Springs; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
