Leona Woman Died In Hospital at Temple
Mrs. James Felix Alston, age 36 years, died in a hospital at Temple, Texas, on January 20, 1940, from blood poisoning caused by an infection after having picked a pimple on her face only a few days ago.
Mrs. Alston is survived by her husband and six children, her mother, Mrs. P. M. Haston; six brothers, L. R. Haston, Temple, Texas, L. L. Haston, Port Arthur, Archie and Monroe Haston of Normangee, and George Haston of Leona, Mrs. R. B. Jackson of Normangee, Mrs. L. B. Thompson, Mrs. L. W. Ward, and Mrs. J. W. Lynch of Leona.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, January 21 at the Methodist Church of Leona and was conducted by the Reverend Kelly, pastor of the Church of Christ of Huntsville, and assisted by Rev. Lamar Mathis, Baptist Minister of Leona.
The Riddle Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
