Mrs. Stella Mae Haygood Bozeman, age 94, died Friday, July 10, 2009. Her visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2009, at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, in the chapel. The burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery, with Brother Scott Livingston officiating.
Mrs. Bozeman was an avid craftsman, participating in local craft fairs, the owner of Cherokee Florist in the late 1960s and leader of a Girl Scout troop for several years. She was a faithful member of the Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollin Bozeman; children, Wynona Malone and Baxter Bozeman; brothers, John Dow Haygood and Boyd Cantrell Haygood; daughter-in-law, Jo Hall Bozeman; and great-grandson, Steven Blake Bozeman.
Mrs. Bozeman is survived by her son, Robert L. Bozeman and wife, Diane, of Cherokee; daughters, Nancy Singleton and husband, Jack, of Cherokee, and Alexa Wallace and husband, Malcolm, of Dayton, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Morrison Funeral Home, of Cherokee, is directing.
