Funeral services for J.F. (Bunk) Boyd, 69, of Brownsboro were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist church with Elder Neil Luce and the Rev. Ken Ashlock officiating.
Burial was in the Leagueville cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
Mr. Boyd died Thursday in a Tyler hospital after a short illness.
Born January 5, 1914 in Brownsboro, he lived in that area most of his life. He was a retired mechanic of Permian Trans. Co. where he worked for 14 years. He was a member and Deacon of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Opal Boyd of Brownsboro; one son, Arlen Boyd of Brownsboro; one daughter, Betty Seagroves of Brownsboro; one brother, J.D. Boyd of Galena Park; two sisters, Johnnie Belle Holt of Springdale, Arkansas and Lila Faye Blasingame of Alaska, Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
