Charlotte was the third child of James Nicholas and Eliza Charlotte (Lawyer) Woodcock. In 1860 she lived in Wright, Schoharie County, New York. By 1870 her family had moved to Union, Broome County, New York. In 1880 Charlotte was living in Binghamton, New York and working as a servant.

She married William Henry Tisdell about 1882. They had seven children: Elizabeth Rebecca; Eugenia Elma; baby Tisdell (died very young); Jennie Julia; William Walter; Lestie Lavina; Alfred Richard. The family lived at 12 Pearl Avenue in Binghamton, New York.

Lottie was a member of the Daughters of America. She was a very outspoken, opinionated woman.

Mrs. Lottie H. Tisdell

Mrs. Lottie H. Tisdell, 76 years old, died Thursday afternoon at her home, 12 Pearl Avenue. She is survived by two sons, William and Alfred Tisdell, both of Binghamton; four dauhters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wells of Hollydale, Calif., Mrs. Jennie Kaufman of Montebello, Calif., Mrs. Eugenia Kretzer of Johnson City and Mrs. Lestie Douglas of Binghamton, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Plain of Union and Mrs. Ella Warner of Schoharie. The body was removed to the C.F. Prentiss Funeral Home, 62 Carroll St.
