The son of William James Altom and Liza Brooks Altom he was born at Bath Springs, Tenn., November 2, 1894, and was 76 years old. He moved to the Missouri Bootheel in 1917 and spent most of his life in Pemiscot County as a farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
In 1914, at Parsons, he was married to Miss Bessie Stephens, who survives. He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Irene Klinkhardt and Mrs. Jo Marie Jean, both of this city, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
