Funeral services were held at the LaForge Undertaking Company chapel Friday afternoon, February 27, at 3:30 o'clock for Mrs. Mary Lena Walls, who died at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital the preceding day. The Rev. A.D. Zbendin conducted the service and burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery.
Mrs. Walls was born in Tennessee December 18, 1888, but had lived in this city since she was a young woman. She is survived by a son, Tommy Walls, with whom she made her home; two half-brothers, Bert and Otho Hammonds of Dyersburg, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Melva Rose of Dyersburg; and seven grandchild.
