Funeral services were held at the graveside in Little Prairie Cemetery at eleven o'clock yesterday (Thursday) morning for Mrs. Martha Anne Prather, 69, who died at her home on East 19th Street Tuesday, February 19. The Rev. Mr. Hicks of Cottonwood Point conducted the service with LaForge Undertaking Company in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Prather was born March 6, 1882, in Wayne County, Tennessee and had lived in Caruthersville for the past five years. She is survived by her husband, Jim Prather,; three sons, Jesse Turnbow, Joe Church and Jim Polk, all of Caruthersville; two daughters, Winnie Wilford of this city and Bessie Turner of Benton Harbor, Michigan; and one brother, Oscar Bulla of Jonesboro, Ark.
